Some people think that being a PhD holder means you are not good at various jobs outside research/teaching, you are old-school and not willing to adapt to current situation. Well, I personally think that this is far from the reality. Let's have a look at some good perspectives about it.

PhD holders have fantastic skills that are applicable to any job positions. You excel at multitasking. Managing more than two projects simultaneously, continuously, dealing and maintaining deadlines, handling various daily tasks both related and not related to your main duties/jobs are your average days. It is your daily activities. It seems tough and tiring, yet you still make it through. You handle it all expertly.

You have fantastic and exceptional skills in written and verbal communication. You have written countless of papers, journals, articles, and delivered hours and hours of presentations and speeches. What even fantastic is that you are able to explain concepts, ideas to audiences with different backgrounds, different levels of knowledge, from novices to experienced specialists or even professors. You make information easy to follow and engaging, you accept every kind of questions, and you can handle criticism in such well-mannered.

You are able to adapt quickly to new software required and becoming proficient in qualitative and quantitative survey platforms to analyze data. You even learning and optimizing new software just to create one visual presentation. It shows how determined and persistent you are.

You learn continuously. You always put your best efforts to expand your knowledge. You are accustomed to rapid and diverse changes, new facts and new findings and yet you embrace them. You squeeze them. You are excellent at searching information and researches and you have a strong memory, you remember huge amounts of information. That is why it is very difficult for some people to trick you.

You have such a bubbly, fun personality. You enjoy life while living in archives or remote laboratories. But despite it all, you are just a normal human being. You have that kind of humor and good conversation skill. You are also able to build and manage lasting workplace relationships and of course you are highly reliable as a source of information to most of the people. ***CND
