Demonstrating its commitment to improving IT education quality in East Nusa Tenggara, STIKOM Uyelindo Kupang has participated in a virtual Meet and Greet event that organized by the Association for Information Systems Indonesia (AISINDO) alongside Prof. Jan vom Brocke, President elect of the Association for Information Systems (AIS).

The Zoom meeting, held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, brought together a broad and diverse community, from academic experts, researchers, and industry practitioners in information systems, all members of AISINDO, which created a dynamic and multi-disciplinary discussion environment.

A relaxed yet highly interactive atmosphere reigned throughout the session, moderated by Tony Dwi Susanto, Ph.D., President of AISINDO. Tony began his session by outlining AISINDO’s vision, mission, and goals, and introduced the new leadership team committed to advancing information systems in Indonesia.

He also officially invited Prof. Jan to serve as an official advisor to AISINDO, expressing the hope that Prof. Jan’s strategic thinking would help addressing ongoing challenges in the field of Information System and strengthen AISINDO’s impact during this digital era.

Prof. Jan vom Brocke, renowned for his leadership in digital transformation research and information systems, shared global trends and emphasized aligning academic curricula with industry practice and real-world relevance. He also underscored the importance of collaborative participation from multiple stakeholders to nurture informed and capable future generations.

Represented STIKOM Uyelindo Kupang, Maria Katharina Cindriani, S.I.Kom., MICM, on behalf of the Chairman of STIKOM Uyelindo Kupang, congratulated Prof. Jan on his election as the new President of AIS. She expressed STIKOM’s strong interest in hosting an online lecture by Prof. Jan, aiming to educate students in East Nusa Tenggara about the benefits of information systems, inspire and encourage them to choose the Information Systems major as a promising career path for their future.

Prof. Jan responded warmly, supporting the initiative and encouraging broader collaboration to assist STIKOM Uyelindo to prepare competent and globally competitive graduates.

By participating in this event, STIKOM Uyelindo Kupang strengthened its academic and institutional network in the information systems community, both nationally and internationally. As AIS boasts membership across more than 100 countries via its AISINDO chapter, this engagement opens significant collaboration opportunities.
